Applications:

Description:
Cryogenic grinding, also known as freezer milling, freezer grinding, and cryomilling, is the act of cooling or chilling a material and then reducing it into a small particle size. For example, thermoplastics are difficult to grind to small particle sizes at ambient temperatures because they soften, adhere to lumpy masses, and clog screens. When chilled by dry ice, liquid carbon dioxide, or liquid nitrogen, the thermoplastics can be finely ground to powders suitable for electrostatic spraying and other powder processes. Samples that require extraction of nucleic acids must be kept at −80 °C or lower during the entire extraction process. For samples that are soft or flexible at room temperature, cryogenic grinding may be the only viable technique for processing samples.

Working Principle:
The working principle of liquid nitrogen low-temperature crusher mainly utilizes the ultra-low temperature effect of liquid nitrogen. The specific process is as follows:
Firstly, the liquid nitrogen low-temperature crusher injects liquid nitrogen into the machine through its cooling system, causing the crushing chamber to reach an extremely low temperature. In this environment, the brittleness of materials (such as ABS, PP, PE, PA, EVA, etc.) increases, the hardness decreases, and they become easier to break.
Then, when the material enters the crushing chamber, the high-speed rotating blade begins to work. Due to the material becoming brittle at low temperatures, the blade can more easily break it into small particles. Meanwhile, due to the fast cooling speed, the active ingredients of the material can be effectively retained.
During the entire crushing process, the low-temperature environment ensures that the material will not experience coking, oxidation, and other problems due to high temperature, thereby ensuring the quality and nutritional content of the material.
Finally, the crushed material will be screened through a grading screen to collect materials with the required fineness, while larger particles that do not meet the requirements will be returned to the silo for further crushing until the required fineness is achieved.
In addition, the cold source of the liquid nitrogen low-temperature crusher can form a closed-loop system, effectively utilizing and saving energy.

Grinded materials will be classified and collected by air screen cone type classifier, the grinded material or powder which have not reached the material fineness degree will go back the grinding chamber for re-grinding, most of the cool air will return back to grinding chamber for recycling usage.
