Fully Automatic Plastic LLDPE Pulverizing Machine

Fully Automatic LLDPE Plastic Pulveriser Mill Grinder Machine of the PNMF series is available with disc diameter from 300 to 800 mm. These plastic pulverizer machines are high speed, precision grinders for the processing of medium-hard, impact resistant and friable materials. The material to be pulverized is introduced through the center of a vertically fixed grinding disc which is mounted concentrically with an identical high speed rotating disc. Centrifugal force carries the material through the grinding area and the resulting powder is collected with a blower and cyclone system. Depending on the application the machines can be equipped with one-piece grinding discs or grinding segments.

Fully Automatic Plastic LLDPE Pulverizing Machine Description:

The fully automatic PNMF LLDPE pulverizing machine integrates five automation stages into a continuous, closed-loop production system. “Fully automatic” in this context means the machine runs from LLDPE granule input to finished powder output without manual material handling at any intermediate stage. The five automated subsystems are:

Stage 1 — Vacuum granule loading: LLDPE granules are drawn from a supply hopper to the vibratory feeder inlet by vacuum conveyor. The operator loads the supply hopper; the vacuum system feeds the machine continuously without manual scooping or pouring at the machine inlet.

Stage 2 — Magnetic metal removal: The vibratory feeder’s built-in magnetic element captures ferrous fragments automatically as granules pass through — no manual inspection of input material required.

Stage 3 — Disc grinding: Centrifugal disc mechanism grinds LLDPE at the preset gap setting. Thermostat-controlled cooling adjusts water flow automatically if disc temperature rises above the set threshold — no manual cooling adjustment during normal operation.

Stage 4 — Closed-loop powder classification: The vibrating screen classifies ground powder in real time. On-spec powder discharges continuously; oversized particles return to the disc automatically — no manual screening or powder re-feed required.

Stage 5 — Vacuum powder collection: Finished LLDPE powder is conveyed by vacuum from the machine discharge to a central collection bin or packing station. The operator does not handle powder between the machine and the collection point.

All five stages are monitored and controlled from a single HMI touchscreen with one-button start-stop. Fault detection at any stage halts the system and displays a diagnostic error code. For full machine component specifications and disc sizing options, see the LLDPE Pulverizing Machine or Grinding Mill page.

Fully Automatic Plastic LLDPE Pulverizing Machine Technical Features:

  • Vacuum granule loading — no manual feed at machine inlet — LLDPE granules are conveyed automatically from the supply hopper to the vibratory feeder by vacuum; the operator’s role at the machine is limited to loading the supply hopper at scheduled intervals.
  • Automatic magnetic metal removal — vibratory feeder captures ferrous fragments before they reach the grinding disc without manual inspection; protects the disc and maintains powder purity through every production run.
  • Closed-loop grinding and classification — vibrating screen returns oversized particles to the disc automatically; on-spec powder discharges continuously. No manual re-feed or batch processing.
  • Vacuum powder collection to remote bin — finished powder is conveyed by vacuum from the machine discharge to a collection bin that can be located in a separate room or packing area; the grinding floor remains clean and operator dust exposure is minimal.
  • HMI touchscreen with one-button start-stop — all five automation stages start and stop in sequence from a single control point; fault detection halts the system at any stage and displays a diagnostic code without requiring operator presence at the machine.
  • Thermostat-controlled cooling — automatic temperature management — cooling water flow adjusts automatically if disc temperature exceeds the set threshold during continuous production; no manual cooling adjustment required under normal operating conditions.

Fully Automatic Plastic LLDPE Pulverizing Machine Components:

Vibratory Feeding Pulverizer Disc
Vibratory Feeding
Receives LLDPE granules from the vacuum loader automatically; built-in magnetic element removes ferrous fragments without operator action. Feed rate is preset; no manual adjustment required during normal continuous operation.
Pulverizer Disc
Centrifugal disc at preset gap setting grinds LLDPE continuously; thermostat-controlled cooling maintains disc temperature automatically. Full disc specifications on the LLDPE Pulverizing Machine page.
Whole Body Pulverizer Disc Segment Pulverizer Blade
Whole Body Pulverizer Blade
Standard for PNMF-300 to PNMF-500; blade replacement is the only maintenance step that requires machine stoppage and operator intervention in the fully automatic workflow.
Segment Pulverizer Blade
For PNMF-600/800; resharpenable 4–5 times — extends the interval between machine stoppages for blade maintenance in continuous automated production.
Temperature Control Vibrating Screen
Temperature Control
Solenoid valve adjusts cooling water flow automatically when disc temperature sensor exceeds threshold; pauses material feed if temperature remains elevated. No manual intervention required during normal operation.
Vibrating Screen
Classifies powder in real time; oversized particles return to disc automatically without operator action. The closed-loop classification is the mechanism that allows continuous unattended operation — powder quality is self-regulating.
Bags Type Dust Catcher Intelligent Control
Bags Type Dust Catcher
Standard dust control; for fully automated multi-shift operation, pulse dust collector is the recommended upgrade — self-cleaning jet mechanism maintains stable airflow without manual bag intervention.
Intelligent Control
Central HMI with one-button start sequence, fault detection across all five automation stages, error code display, and production parameter logging. Single operator monitors full system from this interface.

Fully Automatic Plastic LLDPE Pulverizing Machine Application Areas:

The fully automatic configuration is most commonly specified in three scenarios where minimising operator involvement is a priority:

Unmanned or lightly staffed night shifts. LLDPE rotomolding powder producers running two or three production shifts use the fully automatic configuration to allow the machine to run overnight with minimal supervision. The HMI fault alarm system alerts the operator on duty if any stage requires intervention, without requiring a dedicated operator at the machine.

Integration into automated production lines. LLDPE pipe manufacturers integrating a pulverizer into an automated scrap recycling loop — where pipe offcuts are conveyed to the pulverizer inlet and powder is conveyed directly to the compound mixer — require fully automated feeding and collection so the pulverizer can operate in sync with the production line without a dedicated operator.

High-volume rotomolding powder production. For multi-unit systems producing 2,000–3,000 kg/h, a fully automated feeding and collection network across all units allows a single operator to monitor the entire system from the central HMI, rather than staffing each machine individually. See the LDPE HDPE PE LLDPE Rotomoulding Pulverizing Machine page for multi-unit system configurations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does “fully automatic” mean in practice — what tasks still require an operator?

In the fully automatic PNMF configuration, the operator’s routine tasks are limited to: loading LLDPE granules into the supply hopper at scheduled intervals (frequency depends on hopper size and production rate), monitoring the HMI for fault alarms, and performing scheduled maintenance (blade inspection and replacement, screen mesh check). The machine handles granule loading to the disc inlet, grinding, powder classification, and powder collection to the bin without manual material handling at any intermediate point. For multi-shift operation, one operator can typically monitor two to four PNMF units simultaneously from the central HMI.

What optional accessories are needed to achieve fully automatic operation?

The base PNMF machine includes automatic disc grinding and closed-loop powder classification. To complete the fully automatic configuration, three additional components are typically specified: a vacuum granule loader (automates granule delivery from supply hopper to feeder inlet), a pulse dust collector (self-cleaning, eliminates manual bag maintenance during continuous operation), and a vacuum powder collection system (conveys finished powder from machine discharge to a remote collection bin). The metering and weighing packing machine is an optional fourth component for facilities that require automated powder bagging at the collection point. WANROOETECH supplies all four accessories and can configure them as a matched system with the PNMF unit.

How does fully automatic operation reduce labour cost compared to a manually operated pulverizer?

A manually operated LLDPE pulverizer requires an operator present at the machine during production for: loading granules into the feeder, monitoring powder output quality visually, adjusting feed rate, and collecting finished powder from the discharge bin. In a fully automatic configuration, all four tasks are handled by the automation system — the operator monitors the HMI remotely and responds to fault alarms. For a facility running two shifts, the labour saving from eliminating machine-side attendance across one PNMF-800 unit is typically equivalent to one to two operator-shifts per day, depending on the existing staffing model and local labour cost structure.
